[Brigid Plunder]

To be honest, Brigid didn't quite know where was safe to tread after the events of the past week. Trying to avoid upsetting Theresa and Kay had gotten a lot harder, and there were so many more students involved now.

What she was doing wasn't exactly the best choice, but it at least felt safer than anything else.

Which was to say she was taking her frustrations out on the stationary bag at the moment.

[Will Stanton]

"Your leaving your guard open on your left hook," the bag commented after about ten minutes of this.

[Brigid Plunder]

This frankly startled Brigid.

As such, she let loose with a rather forceful roundhouse kick in response to it.

[Will Stanton]

The bag swung up as the chains groaned in protest from the unexpected strike.

"Oof! Nice one! Not sure the chains are rated for that, but still!"

[Brigid Plunder]

"What. The. Hell?!" She demanded, breathing heavily.

[Will Stanton]

"Not sure we've met," the bag said, half shifting back.

"Will Stanton, leader of the X-Teams."

[Brigid Plunder]

"M-mister Stanton?!"

"Er... I said what the heck... heck. That's what you heard, right?"

"Pleasedon'tgivemedetention."

[Will Stanton]

"Why would I give you detention?" Will asked, raising an eyebrow. "If you think a curse word like that's going to get you in trouble around here..." he chuckled, still spinning slightly from the chain.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well uh... Miss Kaltiera once gave, like, our whole class detention for cursing."

[Will Stanton]

"Oh? And that was the only reason?" Will asked,raising an eyebrow.

[Brigid Plunder]

"...probably not," she admitted. "It wasn't, like, one or two curses."

[Will Stanton]

"Plus, this is Xaviers. We allow actual curses on campus, so a couple hells aren't going to get you in trouble.

Plus, I'm not actually a teacher of any kind, so I couldn't GIVE you detention. Probably could order you to clean my office or something, but even that's pushing it."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Okay, but... why were you the punching bag? Er... why are you the punching bag?"

[Will Stanton]

"Oh, you know...just hanging out."

He looked expectantly.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Puns? Seriously?"

[Will Stanton]

"Sorry.

I'm...exploring power developments. I could go into detail, but it looks like you've got eight million things on your mind already, aye?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"I was kind of just... trying to clear my head."

"I swear, it was so much simpler back home."

[Will Stanton]

"You here that a lot around here.

What's making things complicated right now?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"Kind of that... well, everyone's pissed off at everyone, I guess."

[Will Stanton]

"At Xaviers? In high school? Surely, you jest."

[Brigid Plunder]

"I guess I just... don't know where to begin, yeah?"

"I didn't really have a bunch of friends back home."

[Will Stanton]

Will nodded -- or at least, the best he could.

"And you've tried to create a group here, only for them to splinter?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"It's just really frustrating," she nodded.

[Will Stanton]

"It can be hard -- let me guess, relationship issues?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"Yeah, mostly. Sounds simple just to say it."

[Will Stanton]

"Trust me, NOTHING'S more complex than relationship issues. Especially in high school, where you don't have anything bigger to worry about."

[Brigid Plunder]

"This looked so much more awesome in the movies, you know?"

[Will Stanton]

"Yeah, I do know. Life should be more like the movies, but it's not. It hurts sometimes, to get splashed with that cold reality,"

Said the talking punching bag to the savage land barbarian girl.

[Brigid Plunder]

"...okay, you know how weird it is to talk to you like this, right?"

[Will Stanton]

"I do," he said, sadly. "You want me to come down?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"Er... I'm sorry? I mean, I didn't want to offend you or anything..."

[Will Stanton]

"No, no, don't worry, you didn't offend me," Will said, shifting back and letting go of the chain, landing on the floor. "I really shouldn't have been doing that, anyway."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well, if there's no hard feelings that I was kicking the crap out of the leader of the X-teams..."

[Will Stanton]

"You'd have to try a little harder than that," Will joked.

[Brigid Plunder]

"I'm pretty rough on punching bags..."

[Will Stanton]

"You are indeed! But I'm pretty tough as punching bags, so it all works out."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Anyway, I guess it's just... I'm always worried that they're going to see that I don't know what the heck I'm doing around people, but... how am I supposed to, when it gets like this?"

[Will Stanton]

"That's a little secret. No one knows what the heck they're doing around people. ~I~ don't know what the heck I'm doing around people most of the time.

Which might explain why I was hanging out here."
