John had hit the gym for his daily workout. With the DR down, he was forced to use the rec center's equipment which barely had the weights he needed for a full workout. On his back, he breathed out and raised the over-sized high-density barbell into the air. Naturally, this was repeated.
Stupid thief. This way is sooo boooriiing.

"Now that is a scene of beauty."
Bear grinned, watching John perform his curls.
A wolf whistle soon followed.

His exposed biceps really were quite an impressive sight in his grey tank-top. Granted he didn't really sweat, a tank-top just seemed the right thing to wear.
He looked over, smiling, "Hey to you too beautiful."

Bear walked by, running a finger along said exposed bicep.
She then picked a barbell up of a slightly smaller weight, but a much, much smaller size, joining him.
"I'm kinda glad the Danger Room is down. It's good to get back to the basics."

"Well you don't have to take up damn near half the room to use superstrength weights."

"Nope! My petite figure only needs the quarter-room size Superstrength weights!"
She grinned and blew John a kiss, before beginning her own curls.

"I heard there's going to be a showing of the first War of the Worlds set up in town because Maldon is mentioned in the book or something. Would you... like to go?"

"Spend time with you, watching a scary alien movie?" She replied, smiling.
"Absolutely!"

"How's your day gone so far?" She asked, curling and releasing with some very odd mechanics to her motions.

"Busy," he answered with a groan. "Thank God that Nash can take on some of the work. I swear, I think that kid might be smarter than I am."

"I've seen some of his work.. Really, really impressive. I might see what he can do with some of my throwing balls."
She increased her curling speed, closing in on her limit.

John resisted the temptation to make a childish joke of that as he continued pumping something much heavier than iron.
"You haven't even let me yet," he fake-pouted... however a lizardman pouts.

Bear grinned.
"I'll see if I can get a big stool for my workshop. It does get lonely there, sometimes."

"Long, and stressful. It's amazing how much we rely on the DR.. Planning on running training programs and working around its absence has been leaving my head in knots. Add on top the regular class load and studying, and... Ugh."
She exhaled dejectedly, just thinking about it.
"Lets just say being with you is the highlight of the day."

Bear led the way out to the jogging track, and began to stretch her legs.
"Urrgh.. Why can't all my muscles be superhuman.."

"I don't get to spend much time with the Institute kids and I'm still not mentoring anyone. As for back home, Dad's as busy as always and my sister's doing well. As far as she'll tell her dorky big brother anyway."

"Here's a secret- all big brothers are dorks to their sisters. It doesn't mean they don't love them any less, though!"
She grinned, nudging his side.
