Brigid was giving the heavy bag a good working over, frustrated about having put her foot in her mouth around her boyfriend.

Alex was walking in, intent on lifting, jogging, something to get himself stretched out. ANd that was when he saw his girlfriend beating the ever loving fuck out of a punching bag.

"Shit. Shit shit shit, someone doesn't look happy."

Slowly, he started backing up to see if he could leave the room without being seen.

"Uhm... hey," she said as she let out a long breath.

Alex just looked at her for a minute, and it looked like something just clicked inside his head. "Hey... How about this. I'll promise not to take any crazy shortcuts like that again if you stop treating me like I'm fragile, ok?" He smiled, a little nervously, as he reached for her hand.
