Issue 1 Downtime

Trini was sitting by Persphone's bedside, reading out of a book to the still-unconscious girl.

"...round about the cauldron go, in the poisend entrails throw. Toad, that under cold stone days and nights has 31, sweltered venom sleeping got, boil thou first in the charmed pot..."

At some point Nailah seems to have stopped by but didn't step into the room, instead just deciding to quietly stand near the door and let Trini finish.

"By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes."

"I can leave if you want me to."

"Just the next line in the play, professor. Surely, your precognitive abilities told you you would arrive at this time," Trini said without turning around.

"It's not that simple, Trini. Though you have every right to blame this on me regardless."

"So generous of you."

"I'll leave if you want me to. In case she wakes she'd probably rather see you than me anyway."

"I don't know if she will wake, Nailah," Trini sighed. "She's not really moving.

I'm reading to her, so hopefully she'll react to something."

"I know. I'm glad she has you looking out for her because I certainly didn't. I tried to prevent something like this but in the end my my stubbornness was what made it happen. I'm truly sorry."

"I'm sure she'll feel happy to hear that."

"I'll leave you two alone." she says and turns to leave.
