I12: This Seems Awkward

[John Hino]

John rapped on the door.

"It's me, John. Can I come in?"

He sounded concerned.

[Byrna Cooper]

"John!"

Bear opened the door, then pulled him in, giving him a hug.

"I'm sorry I've not been around.." She said, looking regretful.

"..you seem smaller," she added, smiling a bit.

[John Hino]

"Heh, yeah..."

"I'm just glad you're not a puddle... I was worried."

[Byrna Cooper]

"I think is was shock, mostly.. I've been able to keep myself together since then."

She kept the hug up, afraid to lose contact.

"I can't quite do much more then look like clay, though.. I'm at a plateau."

[John Hino]

"It's all I can do to stay on my feet. Everything moves too fast with this body and my balance is shot. And these feet, God, how do normal people walk on these things?"

[Byrna Cooper]

"Heels first. Digitrade legs are funny."

She giggled, running a finger over his metallic fingertips and implants along his arm.

"Do they.. Do they hurt?"

[John Hino]

"Just numb really, though I bet they used to hurt quite a lot. Poor guy..."

[Byrna Cooper]

She continued feeling along the implants, where they all appeared to flow towards the heart, and the back of the skull.

"Wow.. They're all over his body.."

[John Hino]

"Feels like it too. I wonder what happened to him to require all this hardware."

[Byrna Cooper]

"It's probably worth finding out.. He might need regular service on them.."

Bear released her hug stepping back and taking a breath.

She looked remarkably just like herself, only like a clay statue representation.

[John Hino]

"Well I admit I am incredibly curious about how the implants function," he admitted as he got a better look at her.

"I always knew you were a work of art," he smirked toothily, which looked downright odd on a human face.

[Byrna Cooper]

"It feels.. Strange. Like its not real, because nothing is constant.. It tough getting used to."

She giggled at his grin.

"How are you adjusting to not having a snout?"

[John Hino]

"My tongue feels tiny."

[Byrna Cooper]

"Like this?"

She stuck out what appeared to be a tongue made of clay.

[John Hino]

"Exactly. I never thought I'd miss the ol' dragon mouth."

[Byrna Cooper]

"So you need to take smaller bites for a little while.. I'm not even sure how to eat."

[John Hino]

"I wish I could answer that."

[Byrna Cooper]

"We'll figure it out.. I'm going to need to talk with Will anyway."

She smiled, pecking John on the cheek.

[John Hino]

"Mm... that feels nice without scales," he smiled.

[Byrna Cooper]

"I miss the scales."

[John Hino]

"Yeah... I kinda do too."

"I thought I wanted to look normal," he admitted.
