But if you're here, than Haley might be in trouble. I can't let her soul be harmed by you being here. There are some doors that can not be returned through," he said, grabbing her hand.

She reflexively skimmed his surface thoughts before she even realized it.

"...oh...you...thought I was her?"

Haley was wearing one of her favorite outfits, not ancient Egyptian garb as Roland had initially thought.

"I eventually became assigned to protect her, and that involved spending a lot of time with her. We got to talking, and then we got to other things.

The old pharoh I think wanted to kill me, but she chose me as her first husband. Saved my life.

...Well, not really, but I always TOLD her it saved my life. Saved me a lot of inconvenience and having to run away, but that sounds less dramatic."
