"What do I do if I ever need some..." he said, searching for the right words, "Mental peace and quiet? Like if my powers start drivin' me nuts or something."

"If you can get past the name, the Danger Room is perfectly capable of engaging psychic shielding."

[Steve Jones]

"That virtual reality gizmo can do that too?" he asked.

[Samantha McManus]

"It's designed to simulate a wide variety of situations. Simple isolation is the least of what it can do."

[Steve Jones]

"Could it let me walk on the moon?" he asked with interest, his inner child shining through.

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye. With or without spacesuit, though the safeties would put air there."

[Steve Jones]

"Definitely with the suit. It wouldn't be remotely authentic without it," said the boy whose moving boxes contained as much space program memorabilia as they did football merchandise, perhaps more. He knew he'd never qualify to be an astronaut, especially with as few who were sent up these days, but the wonder was there. He just had to talk to that Gravis guy.

"We've also a number of planets in the database, some inhabited, though not all are allowed until you've some training."

"Something to aim for then," he grinned, "Dad's gonna be so jealous."
