Issue 1 Downtime

After being released from the medical center, Winn immediately sets out tracking down Altamira. She knocks on the door to Mira's room, looking annoyed, frustrated, and a bit confused all at once.

"'Ey, birdy!" Winn calls out. "Where are ya?"

"Ahh. You have recovered?"

"Who the hell are you?" Winn asks, not bothering with manners. How unexpected.

"What did the doctors say?" Mira said, as if she had SOME idea of the answer already.

"They said that I had lost a significant bit of that energy that's building up in me," Winn says. "Not enough to be okay, but...fuck!"

She rubs her hair, looking frustrated.

"When I woke up, I felt good. Really, really good," Winn says quietly. "I just want to know what's happening to me. Please."

"What happened to you was an awakening, of a sorts."

"What sort of an 'awakening'?"

"If it turns out there's peyote in this coffee that....well, that would actually be pretty awesome," Winn says. She takes a sip of the coffee. "But I get the feeling you're not really talking about the fun hippy drug-trip sort of 'cosmic'."
