Issue 1 Downtime

Kara is in her room, hanging up posters, the door to the common area wide open. Music is blaring from a small stereo.

Kara might notice movement out of the corner of her eye coming from the common area--a tail hanging off near the end of the love seat, idly wagging.

A large wolf was curled up, dozing, the previously-closed door to Steph's room now nudged open.

"Sweet! We get to keep pets?" she wonders out loud, assuming this to be her roomies dog. She walks out her door and into the common area to see how friendly the doggie is.

Stephanie seemed to be asleep.

"Hey doggy." she says, walking around the couch and stopping. "Whoa, more like wolfy."

Kneeling down she pats the giant dog on the head. If it's in here it's bound to be domesticated,right?

Stephanie's eyes lazily opened for a moment, then closed, then snapped open and she started upright in a possibly very terrifying manner--though she was really just very startled to be out of her room laying on the couch.

Kara does indeed get startled and promptly falls back and on her ass. "Whoa, hey, easy there."

The wolf looked around frantically, whining and growling, then buried itself under a blanket on the couch...and then it started growing. It's limbs stretched and twisted until they more resembled a human's. The enormous werewolf sat up, looking directly at Kara, wide-eyed...and then started wrapping the blanket around itself?

"Heilige stront! Weerwolf!"

The werewolf wrapped the blanket around itself more tightly and it continued to change, becoming finally, Stephanie, who was bright red with embarrassment and stark naked under the blanket.

"Oh. My. Gosh. I am so sorry. I must have been dreaming during my nap..."

"Do you often take naked naps on the couch?" she chuckles, recovering from the surprise. "Because if so you should probably warn me."

"No...I think I must have been sleepwalking. And...I guess I shifted in my dream. I wasn't naked before...ugh. And I really liked the pajamas I was wearing too...I was in my bedroom. Gosh. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm Stephanie. You must be Kara."

"Yeah. And more startled than scared, really." she chuckles and pulls herself up from the ground. "For a moment I thought my roommate had a pet wolf."

<"well you were swearing in Dutch, no?"> she replied in...pretty bad Dutch. "Sorry. That was awful I bet. I should stick to German. Trying to teach myself for fun."

"Well. My freshman German teacher spoke both and said if you learn one you can learn the other. Not sure I buy it. He also spoke Polish. And french. And Swedish. So it's possible he was just a one of those painfully talented people."

"I'd show you more, but I don't wanna wreck the place." she smirks.
