Issue 1 Downtime

Tiran looked around his room after taking the last box from his parents, it was a collection of materials to make footwear. He hugged them goodbye and essentially shoo'd them out of the room. As he started unpacking and setting up his room, his thoughts strayed to the shoes he would make first. He should probably make an extra set of his own boots, just in case. He made sure his fedora looked okay and smoothed out the wrinkles on his trench coat before getting back to work, he was concentrating on setting up his mini-fridge and making sure everything would have a place to be plugged in.

John knocked gently on the doorway to Tiran's room.

"Need help with anything?" asked the deep-voiced lizardman in a friendly tone.

The knocking broke him away from the concentration of the electrical wires and he turned to look at what was happening. When he sees you he gestures to the mini-fridge and his materials to make all types of shoes.
"Know a good place to put these?"

"If there's not enough room in your closet, I can point out where in town to get a nice work cabinet."

"I'm John, by the way," he said, extending a hand.

He nodded and extended out his hand as well, firmly grasping yours before giving a hand shake.
"Tiran." It was obvious you weren't going to get that much out of him in terms of talking.

It would be clear from John's own scaly grip that he was holding back quite a bit of strength.

"It can be more than a bit weird here, but I think you'll like it here," he smiled, to the extent that a toothy humanoid reptile can smile.

Tiran nods in response, offering a water or soda if you wanted one.
"You know the other guy living in the room?"

"No thanks, I just had something," he said, "And yeah, I know him. He's a bit gloomy right now, but he's a nice guy. Just worried about his wayward girlfriend."

Tiran nods and gets back to work setting up his room.
"It was good meeting you. If you need something, just ask."

"Likewise. Need anything heavy lifted or have any computer trouble, if you have one, I'm your guy," he said, thumbing at his Godzilla t-shirt.

"I'll need it eventually. Computers.... Aren't my thing." He finishes setting up his stuff and he sits on his bed looking at his boots. He then grabs his shoe making stuff and starts matching out fabrics and materials so he can make a replacement.

"Shoes huh?" John asked. Tiran may have noticed John wore no shoes on his reptilian feet.

"My family makes them" There were indeed no shoes, Tiran was just guessing that your feet really didn't work that well with something like shoes. He got the fabrics matched up and began sewing them together by hand. "This might take a while."

"I guess I'll leave you to it then," he said amiably, "It was nice to meet you."
