Issue 1 Downtime

Gideon was sitting on the roof of the dorm building watching the mutant gathering taking place in the garden. He wasn't comfortable with the idea of interacting with actual heroes coming home and new/old students.

Claire stepped out onto the roof for a smoke, pausing when she saw Gideon.

"Oh, hey," Claire says, "Didn't think anyone was up here."

"There's something about rooftops and schools for mutants," Gideon said, "So you're probably not going to be alone up here all that often."

"Not big on parties, eh?"

"Nah, I love parties," Claire says, "I just like 'em on my own terms."

"I certainly preferred the after mission parties that involved spending the night in a pub," Gideon said, "We never pulled a Lazarus though."

"Eh, I'm sure they'll hit the pub up eventually," Claire says, "Gotta have a friendly party for the new kiddies though."

"You'd probably be less scary if you weren't lurking on a rooftop, watching people," Claire points out.

"Maybe," Gideon said, "Might be they are bit too busy to look up. There are some far more interesting things on the ground to gawk at than the people smoking on the roof, eh?"
