"All the more reason to enjoy it while it lasts."

[Connor Marshall]

He shook his head, apparently more tired without his sore back to keep him up. "Nah, jes... hurts more, then..." he yawned.

[Isabel Galen]

"At least you know that it might not always suck." she said, yawning herself.

[Connor Marshall]

"Try not ta hope too much... jes' keeps... disappointin' me..."

[Isabel Galen]

"I thought I was the one who was supposed to give up, and you were the one who was supposed to cheer me up."

[Connor Marshall]

He shrugged, shifting a little and settling down with his arm over her. "Did that 'lready. 'S my turn now..."

[Isabel Galen]

"Sounds fair to me." Isabel said, yawning.

[Connor Marshall]

"An' doin' a good job 'f it, too," he yawned as he dozed off.

[Isabel Galen]

Isabel's only response was a soft, gentle snore.

[Connor Marshall]

It was about an hour before Connor roused himself. Huh? Oh... He looked down at Izzy for a moment, then snagged a blanket with a forcefield and dragged it over to the bed, trying not to jostle her much while he spread it over them. Better get some more sleep 'fore she wakes up an' starts actin' all weird... he thought as he settled back in tucking his arm over her again.

*********The next morning***************

Isabel woke up, and immediately started to try to figure out how to get Connor's arm off of her.

[Connor Marshall]

Connor's arm was far from unmoveable. Heavy, maybe, but it could be moved.

Also, this would wake him up. "Oh, sorry," he yawned, moving the offending limb. "'Morning, luv."

[Isabel Galen]

"Morning." she said, a bit awkwardly "Can you shift over a little? I've gotta go use the toilet."

[Connor Marshall]

"Right, sorry, luv," he yawned, shifting and pulling her over him to the outside and scooting himself up against the wall in her place.

[Isabel Galen]

"Uh, thanks." Isabel said, a little awkwardly.

[Connor Marshall]

"No problem, luv," he said, stretching, not quite ready to get up yet. "Thanks for stayin'," he added, settling back in.

[Isabel Galen]

"Not a problem." Isabel said "Its nice to have a platonic snuggle buddy."

[Connor Marshall]

"I know, right?" Dammit. "We still on for the game tomorrow, luv?"

[Isabel Galen]

"I wouldn't miss it." she replied.

[Connor Marshall]

He yawned, flopping back onto the bed as she got up. "Good. Tickets were a mess ta get," he said. "Had to have a mate talk to a guy who new a guy. Bloody ridiculous."

[Isabel Galen]

"At least you got them." Isabel said.

[Connor Marshall]

"Yeah, told my mate I really needed them. Said I had a girl I was trying to show real football to, since she used to be a Man U supporter," he yawned.

"You didn't!" Isabel said, glaring at him "You prat!"

[Connor Marshall]

"Aw, c'mon, luv, nothin' ta be ashamed of, right? I mean, your boyfriend played for them, right?" he answered with a grin.

[Isabel Galen]

"Aaaand that is my cue to leave." Isabel said. And then she did.
