I12 -- Sweet Dreams are Made of This

Raven was sleeping. As was the rest of the campus, mostly, anyway.

She found herself in dreams, in the Astral, in a long hallway filled with doors.

"Good evening, Xaviers. How are we feeling tonight?" she said, smiling as she floated down the corridor, resplendent in her coven's outfit.

She knocked on one of the doors. "And who do we have behind here?" she asked, opening it up and stepping into someone else's dreams.

((Wiiiiide open))

The first immediately visible image was a young woman in glowing red armor, her back braced against a door. She didn't immediately appear to pay any attention to Raven, her attention focused on the door. A brief moment later, the reason for her focus was evident as something heavy and wet-sounding slammed into the door, causing it to vibrate and making the young woman wince.

"Uninvited guests?" Raven asked, making her way towards the door.

There was the distinct impression that the woman was speaking French, though her words were understandable. "Not guests. I told you to run," she said, not even looking at Raven.

The door thumped again, shuddering the entire frame this time and the woman rebraced herself against it. A long gray tentacle made an attempt to slide under the door and the woman pulverized it with a single blast from her hand. "You don't want to deal with this," she said, a mixture of fear and determination in her voice.

Her mind was apparently trying to process this new element to the dream. The door rattled again and she stepped away from it, "Maybe..."

"Yes, that would be..." The door exploded into fragments, showering them with splinters. A gray tentacle lashed through the dark opening and wrapped around Elena's leg.

The tentacle released Elena and sank back into the darkness and moonlight poured in from nowhere specific. The darkness began leaking out of the doorway, trying to force itself against the light. Elena just stood there, dumbfounded as one often does in dreams.

The darkness retreated, but continued to brood on the other side of the door frame. "Th... thanks," said Elena, rubbing her arms and glancing at the darkness.
