Issue 1 Downtime

Later that day Do'noma is in her tent, preparing and waiting for Sam. She cleared a space near the middle of the tent and has set out a varity of things, among them a couple small bowls. A small fire is burning in an earthen bowl, a small trail of smoke snaking up along the main post and outside.

Not quite understanding what the seer intended, Samantha made her way into the tent. She looked about, bewildered.

"Sit down." she smiles and nods at the place in front of her.

"Alright..." She said nervously, taking a seat where indicated.

"Relax. Is nothing bad." she smiles, being used to this kind of reaction, even if it's usually from teenagers. "Only here to do... formal... joining of tribe and show you some of preperations you will do when time comes." she goes on, plucking some dried... well it's some kind of plant... from where it was hung to dry up on the tent's 'ceiling' and crumbles the small piece into the fire.

She nods and reaches for one of the smaller cups. At closer inspection they seem to contain some ground up paste in different colours. Red, blue, yellow-brownish, green. Do'noma dips her finger into one of them and after some deliberation leans forward and begins to draw on Sam's face.

"...like yours, aye?" She asked as she tried to hold still.

"Yes, but not same. Will be your own." she nods, continuing to work while the room slowly fills with a faint, pleasant smell from the incense.

"Patient. You will see." she says, nodding at one of the larger bowls that's filled with water.

"I can wait," she said with a small smile before thinking better of it and relaxing her face again.

After a while of drawing, leaning back to look at it and going back to correct something she seems to be happy with her work and hands Sam the bowl of water as a make-shift mirror.

Certainly still curious, she went to look at her reflection.

The design is a mix of red and blue markings that, while certainly unusual-looking to Sam, isn't that extensive.

"Is to also fit your proper name, yes." she smiles. "And I joke a little giving it, but to mean something you have to accept it. Do you, Samantha Fire-Hair?"

She sticks her tongue out at Sam, but then she puts on a more serious expression again and places her hands on Sam's shoulders.

"Welcome into tribe, Samantha Fire-Hair. You have your spirit-face and spirit-name. Remember good and wear them with pride."

"I'm... honored that you'd have me," she said, sounding a bit nervous towards the end when she realized what she was saying.
