Ms. Valentine was sitting in a rather cushy chair, enjoying the little bit of time they had before things got busy. Sure, there were a few guests in the house, but mostly it was her and her girls.

"Will there be anything else, before I get supper, Miss Valentine?" Rachel asked as she finished getting the tea ready.

"Mm, no, darling, I think that's fine," Victoria answered, smiling at the girl as she took her tea. "Mmm, lovely."

Miss Onyx comes down the stairs, putting her hair into a ponytail.

"I smell tea," Onyx says, smiling.

"You hush about that." Chloe said "We all have our little ways, no need to tease me about it. 'Specially not with customers still in the house."

"Girls," Victoria said, giving them a fond look. "Let's not give our guests the wrong impression..."

"God forbid," Onyx says with a grin, "I'd hate to leave an impression on a guest. Unless they pay extra, of course."

"Mmm, you haven't heard some of the things he asks for," Victoria mused, smirking slightly, seeing that the room had cleared of customers.

"Ms. Valentine, you hush," Onyx says with a smirk, "Chloe's right. Sheriff Gravis is always the picture of a proper noble soul. Always takes a shower before he bends me over upstairs and everything."

Onyx takes a cup of tea and sips it, glancing out the window.

"Goodness gracious," Onyx says, "Looks like we've got ourselves another proper gentleman. That new doctor is coming up the way."

The new doctor, indeed dressed rather gentlemanly for the times, was shown in. It was rather obvious from his demeanor that yes, this was his first time to such an establishment.

"Good afternoon, Dr. Scott!" Chloe cooed as she hurried up to him "Make yourself at home. Would you like a cup of tea? Can I take your hat? Come sit by the window, there is a lovely breeze."

"Ah... yes, some tea would be good," he said, smiling at the pretty girl as she took his hat. All right... this isn't so hard...

Chloe hung his hat up, and bustled over to the tea things "Do you take sugar? Lemon? Cream? Not both, of course, but one or the other is very nice. Of course, you'd know that, I'm such a silly." she giggled, looking up at him shyly.

Derek smiled at her, reassuringly. "Nothing, I'm something of a purist with my tea, I suppose," he said, eyeing the girl favorably.

"A man of simple tastes." Chloe said as she poured him a cup "Its nice to see that." she carried it over to him and sat down next to him, sipping daintily from her own cup "How do you find the town, Dr. Scott?"

"Very... rough-and-tumble, I suppose. Quite different from back east, I can tell you that," he mused, taking a sip of his tea.

"I hope you haven't been too terribly disappointed, Dr. Scott." Chloe said "It is a bit rustic, but you'll find that our little town isn't without its charms. At least, I hope that you'll come to enjoy the....delights it can offer."

Derek smiled at that. "Well, it's a change, but I am finding that there are some things to enjoy that you can't find back east," he admitted with a smile.

"So... Chloe, is it?"

Onyx takes a seat next to Victoria and sighs, keeping her voice down so Chloe and Derek can't hear.

"Spare me the romantic ones," Onyx says, "Give me a man that knows that you're a whore and not his girl any day of the week, ma'am."

"Just for the past year." Chloe said, somehow managing to blush as he kissed her hand "I'd thought I was just passing through, but I ended up staying." she smiled at him "Suddenly, I'm glad I did."
