Issue 1 Downtime

A quick note--because of the random-drawing method of matches, occasionally (like this week), we'll have a second round match before the first is finished. I haven't forgotten about the rest of you, don't worry

RESULTS
Kelly St Luc v. Simon Kipling
Simon puts up one hell of a fight, but we're outdoors, and Kelly is just able to swoop in to attack and then flutter away until Simon tires out. Kelly wins, via airpower

Juma Ngomo v. Morgan Evans
Juma takes three steps towards Morgan--before he stats screaming as spiders pop out of his veins and the sky turns to marmalade and the grass melts into the souls of the damned...Morgan wins via bad trip

Will Stanton v. Zoe Walker
Will...stays stone still. Zoe slides around, and attempts to use her momentum to knock Will at the very least OVER---but he's too tough for that, and Zoe just can't damage him. Will wins via willpower

Madrox "Talos" Saavedra (0-0) v. Kevin "Lionheart" Gravis (0-0)
Location: Main street in the old west, at sundown (rendered via danger room)
Repulsers versus light swords in an old fashioned duel. Additional stipulation: both fighters are given one ten gallon hat.

Zero (0-0) v. Sara "Flowstone" Evans (0-0)
Location: The partially flooded, scorched corridors of Binary's Mars Colony, 7 PM

SECOND ROUND MATCH
Rachel "Nomic" O'Brien (1-0) v. Ryan "Seraph" Gabriel (1-0)
Location: A still moldy, foul smelling courtroom of the Old Bailey, 3 PM.
They're not boyfriend-girlfriend. Really.

Oh ffs, I hate you again, Will

Courtrooms are pretty high, giving Ryan a lot of flutter room. He'll use that fact to keep moving, trying to not to stay still long enough to give Rachel an easy grab on his body functions. Since she's not a physical fighter, he's mainly going to be focusing on keeping moving, taking shots at her whenever he can to paralyze her or taking swats at her with his wing to knock her out, and counting on his experience with telepaths and the fact that his body structure is abnormal to keep Rachel from gaining control over him.

Assuming the colony doesn't have much exposed soil and is propably 100% metal and plastic that leaves Sara very little room for any fancy tricks, but barring any surprises from Zero she propably wouldn't have much trouble just taking him on in a brawl and knock her out eventually seeing how even punches from someone in peak physical form propably wouldn't bother her much.

For the others, Ryan volunteered as Rachel's gunieapig before, so she propably wouldn't have much trouble messing around in his head, so I'll vote for her without waiting for her strategy.

Maddie/Kevin is hard to tell, waiting for strats there.

I'd better wait for the strategies to be posted.

Ryan's physical structure is abnormal, but Rachel is intimately familiar with how it works, and with the way his mind works. She's going to take out his wing control, counting on that to distract him, then go after the vital functions.

I think RYAN'S gonna overcome Rachel, as he's gonna unleash a furious set of bolts which is just not gonna give Rachel the time she needs to take him down...

I'm also gonna go out on a limb and think the GIANT ROCK MONSTER is going to beat the dude in disguise, flooded Mars base or no flooded Mars base.

Zero assumes the form of a mutant with skin even stronger then rock. After that, it becomes a slug fest. If possible, Zero attempts to find a nice and deep flooded tunnel to throw Sara down.

Also, in lieu of stragies, I'll take Maddie over Kevin, just based on the fact that one of them is subject to human error.

Kevin would try to avoid and disarm his opponent. Literally.

Maddie would stay just out of range of the blades and repulsor-thump Kevin when he gets the chance. Kevin may have heightened agility but Madrox is faster, stronger, and smarter.

Since so many people have been gone, I may extend this weeks voting another notch...still debating whether or not to also post next weeks' matches, though.

Okay..

MADROX. He's got the experience, and he's got the skills. Unless he trips and gives Kevin a remote chance to cut him in two, (and even then, he's gonna keep fighting), Mad's gonna win.

SARA. She can do more then just turn to stone. She's a monster in close quarters, Zero having harder skin or not. She'll lash out, trip up, not give Zero a chance to focus. And eventually, Zero will be incapacitated for a win for Sara.

RYAN. Rachel is very, very powerful. But Ryan is more experienced- He'll have a very small window of opportunity, given the fact that he's experienced with fighting TPs from the XI. I'm betting he'll make the shot he needs in the precious few seconds he's got.
