On Monday, a couple and their child died in a car accident on London Road, just outside Maldon. Todd and Joann Prast, along with their son Julian, were driving home from Heybridge at 7:45 PM when a drunk driver swerved into their lane and forced them off the road. They were pronounced dead on the scene.

Todd and Joann Prast were well known residents of Maldon who ran the local ice cream shop. Their son attended Maldon Primary.

Services will be held a 3:00 PM on Friday.
