THE SECOND LIFE

That was a very sweet episode. Though had anybody told me that I'd get misty-eyed at someone saying "Remember to put your shoes away." I wouldn't have believed it.

VISIT FROM THE OLD ENTERPRISE or I'm done recafoobling the energymotron.

Alright episode. The Dyson Sphere sub-plot seemed a little bit wasted next to The Scotty Show but oh well. Still a neat episode.

SECRET MISSION ON CELTRIS THREE - PART 1

Why the hell is your super-secret mission dream-team a medical officer, an unsneaky Klingon and the aging Captain of your flagship which you are sending to negotiations with a NEW Captain, somehow hoping that will not make the other side suspicious? xD

Because

that's why.

CAUGHT IN A TEMPORAL FRAGMENT

This is sort of what I tend to think when I hear "Star Trek". Lots of technobabble and stuff and shooting laser phaser and kajiggering the core-mo-tron before it explodes. And weird energy/time beings.

Meh... I would have expected something more interesting from the whole Hugh thing than just total reversal of their whole 'thing'. Not a bad episode but meh.

Solid episode! And for once the asshole Admiral gets what he has coming. Plus, bonus explanation why everyone but the Federation uses cloaking technology. And theirs would be better if they were allowed to use it! Totally!

YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW

A really good series finale. It gave a nice look back and forward at what might be without setting things in stone and in the end there's still a bit of sense of wonder and adventure and exploration left. And I knew Q wasn't just being a dick.

THE INSCRUTABLE MARRITZA

That was... different. Though I kinda expected him to ultimately prove innocent to show how each side can be wrong and rah rah rah. Didn't expect them to go as far as to have him stabbed in the end though. Kinda wondering how a small knife in the back instantly killed him though when Picard took a sword through the heart and lived, but I guess Marritza didn't have Picard's plot-armor.

If I'm remembering correctly, Sisko changed his hair and/or goatee right after this episode. I always liked to attribute it to "You just showed the Dominion how massive your dick is, so you've EARNED a more badass look."

THE ADVERSARY or Will versus Will

The Thing in space. Once they pulled their heads out of their asses and figured out the blood thing. Pretty decent episode and some minor cliffhanging for the season finale.

Not quite---he does get the goatee right after this episode while on the space sail thing, and shaves it off after the episode we JUST watched, going into season 4.

But yes, it's a "shit got real" moment.

Kirk--Toupee. Picard--Bald. Sisko--Bald. Good Star Trek episodes are inversely proportional to the amount of hair the lead actor has.
