Will lay propped up against the front door of his apartment, out in the hallway, asleep.

"Of all the people to lock themselves out, you would have been the last I would think would do that," Allison said, walking down the hallway.

"Mmm? Oh, g'morning, Ms. Rogers," Will yawned, stretching.

An impressive sight, I suppose.

"Good morning," Allison said. "Do you need me to call maintenance to let you back into your flat?"

"Wha? No, I've got my keys right here," he said, pulling them out of his pocket.

"Then why are you sleeping in the hallway?" Allison looked at him curiously.

"Simple--I'm out of beds.

Nina Madaraki has commandeered my bedroom, and Emily Inque has commandeered my couch."

"You could have commandeered one of the guest rooms. Why don't you move Emily out to the dorms? She's the right age for it, at least based on what I was told for her paperwork."

"Because of a promise I made to her mother. And there are, uh, strange circumstances surrounding her, what with her upbringing and all."

"Okay..." Allison said, regarding him. "Well, then we need to figure something out, because sleeping in the hallway can't be comfortable."

"Yeah, I just ran out of brainpower last night. Busy day, you know?"

"I can imagine. Figure out what you need and I'll make sure you get it," she said. "I'll even fill out the paperwork for you."

"Not even going to bill me?" Will joked.

"I'll consider it a favor this time," she quipped back.

"No, I'm pretty sure I still owe you one."

"No, no, that's just part of the job."

"It is, but it doesn't mean I don't owe you one."

"I mean, if you WANT to owe me one, I'll certainly take one, but really, honestly, truly--we're good."

"So what do you need?"

"Well...

If you could track down either where the hell Onyx is or what the hell got Nina kicked out of SHIELD, that would be useful.

Or, on a more realistic and practical level, a roll-away bed."

"I'll get you the bed first. Then I'll talk to X-Corp, see if I can't wrangle you a resource there."

"Honestly, the only one you're liable to find IS the bed, so I'll take it," he grinned.

"Just because I'm unlikely to find a resource, doesn't mean I can't ask."

Just trying not to step on everyone's toes and whatnot. Leadership roles are tough."

"I'm afraid I probably have been, but you know how it is. Can't please anyone all the time.

Though I'm still half-convinced Professor Weaver will eat my soul, or some such nonsense."

"The hazards of precogs, I guess. Everything's ominous in some way."
