Issue 1 Downtime

Allison had just finished her shower and was busy drying her hair. She'd left the infirmary almost as soon as the doctor had released her, which was probably earlier than he wanted to, but arguing with the big cat didn't seem wise.

"I was scared myself. She told me I was going to replace the beast that injured Hydref. Eventually I would have cracked, I don't care how badass I think I am. And I got the feeling that once she was in, she would be hard to get out."

"A few days? Maybe? I didn't really have any way to mark the time. Meals didn't come at regular intervals, they almost never let me sleep."

"As cheesy as it sounds, all I need to be pampered tonight is your company," she said, before making a quick and substantial Chinese order. "I really need to get out of the habit of needing to be rescued."

Allison settled onto the couch next to Dee. "Well, it's not like we'd had *that* conversation quite yet. But 'girlfriend' just has a lot more impact when you're taunting someone. Has a lot more impact on a lot of things, I guess."

"If anything, I've been the needy one in this relationship," she said with a smile, "But yes, I would think you're potentially in the category of the 'g-word' and I would be willing to put you in that category whenever you're ready to be in that category." She paused, "God, I sound like a lawyer."

She returned shortly with a bulging paper bag that was exuding delicious smells. "Think this will be enough?"
