dtaylor@xlu.eduSubject: Student Kidnapping
There was an attack at the Weaver's Warehouse concert tonight, in Mutant Town. One of our students, and possibly more non-student mutants were kidnapped by 'vampires' with extrodinary speed, strength, and damage resistance abilities.
Any faculty members with the ability to search for the missing students via a power or connections should begin the search immediately. We will be activating Cerebro for this but as Charles is too low-energy currently to attempt it, we will have to wait until Jean gets back into town, or we have a faculty member who is confidant that they can handle the machine.
Any information concerning these 'vampires' or the missing student should be passed immediately to this list. We need to coordinate our information and resolve this within 24 hours or less.
Thank you all for your time, I anticipate hearing back from some of you shortly.

Lumis,
If I can be given the clearances, I can begin using Cerebro to search for the students immediately.

I can make some calls, but getting back anything useful would likely be a matter of luck.

I might be able to smell her, but I'd have to be fairly close. As in 200 yards-ish.

I will start interfacing with the city surveillance system immediately and coordinate through Network.

UPDATE:
Hank was beaten unconcious last night and his office robbed. He is in the infirmiry now, and has not recovered conciousness yet, in case anyone wants to see him. The doctors say it was likely multiple assailents. Our enemies appear to be organized and quite dangerous, under no circumstances should a faculty member attempt a rescue or attack on the assailents alone. Use the buddy system.
It is not yet known what was stolen exactly from the lab at this time, when Hank wakes up we'll be able to ask him, and his assistants are going over the computers and inventory right now.
I will keep you posted as to his condition.
Cassiel - You'll be getting the codes for Cerebro soon, though Charles said he wanted to prepare a document to help you navigate any potential dangers of its use.
The rest of you, keep doing what you can, and post any updates to this list. Thank you for your prompt action.

Whoever kidnapped Ayami managed to avoid surveillance cameras, and from the initial reports it seems to have been done via rooftops. As such, I do not have much hope of picking up her whereabouts from the city surveillance grid. Two attackers were wounded enough in the altercation to be limited to ground-level transit and I have projected locations based on their last viewed coordinates and vectors. They might well have safe houses or connections to underground tunnels not covered by surveillance so the projections are not guaranteed, but they are the best I have been able to come up with so far.

Lumis' email contains an addendum not included to the other staff:
I do have a Halcyon Mk III surveillance drone that I can deploy to give aerial coverage over London. However, there are potential political ramifications should the unit be discovered loitering without flight clearance, and procuring that clearance will take some time even for me. I will hold off on the launch for now, but if you deem the coverage more important than the possible backlash, I can have it in the air in under five minutes from your order.

Lumis replies just to the secondary note on that one.
"Keep the drone ready, but don't launch it until we have something solid that we need to confirm."

I've managed to glean some information, unfortunately, it's more worrying than useful.
The 3 bodies that were found recently in Lambeth were all drained of blood when they were recovered, which lends creedence to the vampire theory. One of them was reported missing before the discovery, which perhaps gives us hope that our missing student won't meet her final fate immediately.
It's possible the three weren't the first such cases, but at this point I am unable to say for sure.
Fitz.
