Breaking - World's most famous Mutant in Critical Condition.

Breaking: Charles Xavier reported in critical condition after heart attack.

Details are slim at the moment but we have reports that Charles Xavier, founder of the Xavier University, Xavier Institute, and of course the X-Men, is in the intensive care ward of the Xavier's University medical center following a heart attack this afternoon. School officials declined to comment but news organizations were alerted by a neighbor who lives below Xavier in his Bankside flat. So far all we know is that Xavier was taken by medevac directly to the school medical center which is known for having cutting edge technology on the level of Stark Industries. The thoughts and prayers of London are with this extraordinary man at this time.

Xavier's many accomplishments are a matter of public and historical record, but it's worth mentioning again his tireless dedication to peace and good relations between mutants and those without an X-Gene. Though never awarded the prize, Xavier has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize more than once in his career. You can follow a link to his online biography here.

I never got to go to his high school but just knowing it was there was a huge help to me when I was a teenager. I hope he's okay, I'm praying as hard as I can. Anyone else reading this go to St. Mary's? We should ask the parish for a special service.
